Woman Shaman: the Ancients

Ive long been an admirer of Max Dauchu and her "Suppressed histories" website; I was looking for something to post here, and while it seems that her site is suffering from lack of maintenance, although there is still good information there. This excerpt from her DVD was on utube.

It's my belief that the anthropological record is horribly skewed toward maleness and evidence of female power or authority is ignored. This little blurb, for only four minutes gives a taste of what we still don't learn in school

http://m.

History starts at the beginning right?

On edit; crap she's on Facebook--one of the few reasons I've ever seen (for me personally)to actually obtain FB page, still for those who do, she's worth checking out.

It's written with an affable clarity that reminds me of Mark Twain.

Then make yourself deliciously dizzy with Robert Graves' brilliant "White Goddess."

THEN we can have a conversation.

I haven't read "The Decent of Woman" in years. I used to get blank looks when I'd try to describe it.

I will take your advice about "The White Goddess"; haven't read that one.

Edit 'cause I can't spell

All three books make you rethink your approach to history and "evidence."

BTW, the big thing Morgan ducked was water. I agree with her that our adaptations are for salt water. We, therefore, had to be spending our time in salt water. But we don't have permeable skin. We don't have any way to survive without fresh water. She didn't have an answer.

But here's your link between evolution and religion, wise snakes and cave paintings. Ever go to the beach as a kid? How far away were the water fountains?

What if the beach we frolicked on (and no creature evolves naked and defenseless UNLESS life is a frolic) was made habitable by fresh water caves? (Ignore the idiots who propose gathering at ye olde savannah water hole. We would have been hors d'oeuvres.) How do you find such a cave? Look up. See a tree growing above with its roots in that cave's water system? How do you know the water is mother-with-toddler accessible? See a python dangling from that tree? (Two things pythons like: dangling from trees and slithering into water.)

Then what if, maybe six million years ago when the oceans were frozen into the Ross Ice Shelf and beaches got much farther from fresh water cave to salty sea, mothers had to make a choice? We could find other things to eat but we had to have fresh water to drink.

a decade ago, i spent five years walking all this. it was profound. and yes, spirit doesnt see a discriminating difference between male and female.

we all have a male and female within us. it is whether we allow that male and female within us to battle and it projects out. when bringing that male and female to one, in love, there is not longer battle.

thanks.
