2. This is what I have done:

Go to http://imgur.com/

Click upload images (blue box on top of the page)

Use whichever method applies (e.g. browse your computer)

Click Start Upload

Once the upload is completed, go to the right side of the page where it says Share this Image

Copy the Direct Link and paste it into the body of your post.

Done!

7. The web address for an image needs to end with '.jpg', '.gif' or '.png' to work here.

When the DU server sees a web address that matches its criteria for an image address, it wraps it up in a standard html <img> tag to make it a visible image rather than a link to another webpage or just text on the screen.

(The address for your image is the top example above - you can copy and paste that into a post to see the image.)

15. Using instagram is difficult.

You need to find a directly URL to the JPG. Instagram works really hard at making this difficult since they want you to view the image on the instagram site.
