DU Community Help
Related: About this forumHi, I am Grateful for Hope and Welcome to all newbies!
From what I have read in this forum, there is much good info, so I think I have nothing to add.
But, I just wanted to add that I think this site is amazing (and I have been here for 7 years), and, if you give it a chance, I am confident you will think so also.
Also, post your questions here about our site. We will do our best to answer them.

(6,151 posts)Oh, I fell in love with this site at first glance! A private website where I belonged for years has one foot in the grave and the other foot on a banana peel because the owner, a good liberal, no longer has the health and time to control the 2 guys whose real nature started to show at the first opportunity. In other words, they started running amuk at will, so I'm not the only person who decided to move on. I retired to a tiny midwestern town for financial reasons and easily get my fill of teabaggers first hand; I don't need to put up with the rabid types online as well.
At first I was very lonesome for a good internet home and despaired of finding another. But now I feel very encouraged.
Having joined as a non-star member and unable to correct that before April at the earliest, I can't post a new thread to introduce myself. So I'm hoping people will read this sincere reply to you and let that suffice for the moment. I feel as if I've found a lovely group of folks of all ages to hang with. Anyone who wishes would be welcome to view my profile and let that serve as a temporary introduction.
