Do you need help?
I have been developing applications and running/managing forums for over 20 years.
the problems I see are largely cosmetic. I have been super critical of the changes and I apologize for that, instead I should have offered help. However, there are some very basic things that are very wrong here and I am wondering if you guys have used all of the tools available to you to make designing much easier. Many of them are free as well or built right into your browser. Additionally I would recruit some members knowing what devices operating systems and browsers they are using in order to make changes to your css files.
I would consider making skinner version the default version and I would do that immediately as it will create less resistance off the bat for users. The I would create a post that uses images to show the different looks and feels of the site if users are interested in exploring those options.
I know all about critics and resistance to change having migrated through forum changes with several communities before. It sucks. If you would like some assistance please feel free to reach out.
