1. There is no Home Page forum. Pick MM & V, Good Reads or General Discussion, or any group and hit the

Blue button towards the left. Your post with or without video, will appear on the Home Page in the MM & V within a certain time frame only; newer posts will push it lower down.

For a certain amount of time, posts will be on the Home Page, such as Latest Breaking News, and will be on the Latest Threads page until others are posted. If you have a high number of recommndations your threads will make it to the Greatest Threads page.

If you intend to post videos and use Youtube, find your video and look just beneath the viewing window. There you will find a box called Share. Click it and it will give you a short URL. Copy and paste that where you want to have it go in the body of the message. Links will not work in the header of the messgae.

Be sure to Spell check if you want and use Preview below the message body box to see how the post looks, to see if the links you put in work and if your video is working. Then post.

You must have something in the header or it will not post. When using a news story it is customary to use as close to the article title as possible. Don't use more than 3 or 4 paragraphs of an article unless you have permission or it is your own work, which you can explain as your own and not requiring a link, unless you have somewhere a longer story is posted. Be sure to put a link in so that people will be able to cite the article.

And there are several finer points in the SOP of each forum and group. LBN has a time restraint. Try to make sure that someone hasn't just posted the story if you see it elsewhere. Don't over post your OP or video or do anything that looks like spam.

Certainly I'm not the boss of anyone, but those are my hints here. Here is the Main Page which shows you the different forums in a list on the left:

I've noticed that time of day affects the number of views, and how busy the board is when posted. If you don't get replies or recommendations to keep your OP visible for discussion, don't be discouraged. Many people do not scroll all the way down these pages and at times a really great OP is missed while it is still timely. Some OP writers 'kick' their thread with a reply to move it up in the order in the various forums. Enjoy.
