Technical help regarding 'Mark as read".

When I mark a forum as "read",and wait a short while, the last 10 new posts will show up marked in yellow.

How can I switch it, so that ALL new posts after marking as 'read" will show in yellow?

Thanks!

1. If you're not on mobile, you can find links to change the 'Mark as Read' setting...

... below any OP with replies. They should be on the right hand side of the screen and look like this:

[div class="excerpt" style="display:inline-block;"]Always highlight: 10 newest replies | Replies posted after I mark a forum

On mobile those links are hidden, but you can click on the following link to toggle between the settings:

2. I sure wish they would change where they put that.

After reading Vanje's question, I knew there was an answer. I looked on page after page after page and even did a couple of searches to try and find it.

But it never occurred to me to open an OP and look for that very small writing in that very small space for the answer.

It just doesn't make sense there.

But, thanks for providing the answer. I'm going to try and not forget this time.

4. The 'MARK' function setting was under 'User Options > Preferences' on DU2.

I'd like to see them add it to the [div class="footer" style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; display:inline; font-size:1em; position:static;" title="Click Me!"]'My Account > Preferences' section here - that way mobile users will have access to it. Still leaving it below OP's with replies is okay, since it is convenient should you want to change the setting while reading a thread - but as you indicated it is not an obvious place to specifically go looking for it.

5. Me, too. I've hit it by accident on a couple of occasions and I thought

I had gone crazy.

Then I can't find it when I want to.
