I cannot locate the page containing the 'History of Democratic Underground' ...

I forget the title, but it explained the first few weeks of DU's start up and the trials and tribulations of dealing with right wingers who invaded this site ... I've read it a few times, but now I cannot find it anywhere ...

By the way - I do remember the DU banner unfurled when Dubya's cortege was on parade towards the White House .... I didn't realize what it was at the time ..... A huge milestone for our movement, to be sure ....

Thanks in advance for your help ...

I think this link should be posted for those of us who came aboard in later years.
I find it fascinating.

I just googled and found this thread because I was telling a non-member about the origins of this site. I seem to recall seeing a pic of the banner on TV many years ago, but maybe I just imagined it. LOL

Right when Dim Son drives past the knot of protesters that happened to include the banner .... I saw it with my own eyes ...

You didn't imagine it ... It was my first exposure to the phrase 'Democratic Underground' .... I started seeing the links to DU on Buzzflash.com and Bartcop.com .... I finally joined a year after the site was founded ...
