access it. Sometimes it takes so long to post or do anything on DU. We supposedly, according to our provider, have extremely fast internet service. And the tests we don on our internet service such as at C-Net show our service is fast. Why does it take so long to switch from one DU thread to another or to post?

Granted, it could be your ISP at a bad moment or a bad router in the pathway between you and DU. I've had the same problem you've had for months, and Skinner keeps saying it's not DU.

Try other sites and see if you get good page-load speeds. As I said above, I think it's DU. Web-hosting for a very busy site like DU, costs a lot and I'm sure they buy the most economical package for their needs. In the middle of the night, DU loads like lightning, so I'm sure it's DU.

4. I find that DU is frequently slow.

Interestingly, Discussionist.com never seems to have any speed problems.
