Finding the "sweet spot" is apparently a difficult task
perhaps when we misjudge who we excessively admire and attempt to emulate. From a belief in a Creator's literal supremacy to the extreme perks we ascribe to our heroes, geniuses, and celebrities. Because this article focuses on analogies in the corporate and sports areas, we then turn ourselves over to fan clubs of group-think that leave us vulnerable to our foibles that grew far away from good ways to forgive, selfishness, and greed so in our own minds, "we win?" in excessive over-compensation. In a small world becoming ever smaller, but perhaps more divisively, seeking balance in gray areas of our lives is indeed a difficult task.
