There seems to be a commonality among mammals not shared by reptiles, re. how young are/aren't nurtured.
Live birth and initial total dependency makes for a situation where nature/nurture are inextricably combined.
Is it "nature" or "nurture" that makes it so Polar Bear and Lion cubs both need to be taught how to survive, to get food?
