"The New Cold War?" A Reasoned Discussion about the Politics of SOCHI Olympics...

CROSSTALK with Peter Lavelle:
Are we witnessing a New Cold War, pitting the West against Russia? How does the West's foreign policy apply to Ukraine and the post-Soviet space in general? And which countries continue to hold to old Cold War attitudes? CrossTalking with Eric Draitser, Mark Almond and Steven Cohen.

IMHO: This is an interesting, and very reasoned discussion that you won't hear in the USA MEDIA on the Eve of Sochi/Russian Olympics. And, it will be interesting to see how NBC Covers the Russian Olympics compared to how it covered the China Olympics in 2008 (Aren't Both Countries...on US Watch List as POWER "Countries of Interest?) Both the London and Vancouver Olympics were in-between ...but neither of those two are on USA's List as a World Power threat to the USA. So, SOCHI TRASHING might just be in our international interests? And this is a good discussion about it.

as a bunch of competitiors in a zero-sum game of "grab the resources first". It's that military mind Hayes was going on about. When your only effective tool is your military, every problem looks like a war.

where a poster criticizing Morales called "Latin America a cyst on the anus of the world." The post was allowed to stand.

So...there are even people here on this board who as you say:

"...see the world adversarily, as a bunch of competitors in a zero-sum game of "grab the resources first."
