MyWife finally had a friend who pushed Amazon on us..

Netflix as well and set up an account with her number...
we are both around the 70 yr.old mark.. Up to this point we got all our entertainment needs at our local Arts Move Theater in L.A...

Our first Amazon Experience was really good,, I highly advise.. A 3 part series based on a True Story ( A Very English Scandal) A True Story about The Leader of the Liberal Party played incredibly by Hugh Grant accused of try ing to murder his gay boyfriend...Hugh Grant just nailed it...Takes place...late 60s middle70s...

The other thing I'm watching is Grace and Frankie... in the middle of it and so far very good... Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda close friends who's husbands (Sam Waterson and Martin Sheen) end up falling in love with each other and decide to get married.. while Fonda and Tomlin Freak the Fuck out... Fonda looks absolutely gorgeous at 80? Fuck Me!!! Takes place in opulent beach area in Cali.. Its impossible to select the best of the 4 in this flick ..

I did my best to try to ignore this whole scene of internet entertainment...and I still very much feel this way but my darn wife always loves to explore..

1. Amazon Prime has a lot to offer. Keep exploring.

Netflix does too, but I ran through everything I really wanted to watch on Netflix, beyond the free trial period.

And 2 seasons of The Crown on Netflix. Both are beautifully produced
Love The Last Kingdom on Netflix. Drama mixed with fiction from Ninth
Century England. There are lots of others too. Enjoy.

I am of your generation and Amazon and Netflix offer some of the finest
entertainment I have ever seen on TV or in the Movies.

3. We ditched cable & have Amazon Prime, Netfilx, & Hulu.

The selection is amazing. We get more than we got before, for less. We don't care for sports, so we were paying a lot for stations we never watched. We signed up for a 7-day free trial of Hulu live so we could watch the election results. Then we went back to regular Hulu. We're in our 60's.

6. welcome to the 21st century! hubby and i are your age and we have had all the internet

..channels for YEARS. However we also live 12 miles from town so no quick trip to spend 20$ on a movie.

Some suggestions:Get a Roku or Fire stick, load Pluto tv (free), and watch The IT Crowd on Netflix or Amazon.(also on Pluto at times)

9. Funny thing, just tonight I was saying how fantastic streaming has become.

Even on our slow DSL, we finally can get good streaming, after years of poor buffering problems. The clarity of even lap top screens is better than the old tv we were used to.

We dumped Netflix dvd for their streaming side, and am finding tv series from all over the world.
Did you know...there is a Turkish tv series on the history of the Ottoman empire...it has ...get this..179 episodes and Netflix offers them all. 8.2 rating IMDB.

And...a new documentary on Roger Stone, which looks very well done, I will catch it later, cause I never watch politiclal stuff before bed.

We dumped tv shortly after Bush invaded Iraq, gave the old set away, and went to dvds and online for any news. then came streaming....very inexpensive compared to cable, all on demand, perfect for our retirement schedules.
between amazon and netflix, we will never run ut of things to watch, and I am thinking of maybe...the Brit box, or acorn, or....?

10. We're cord cutters, and antenna cutters too.

We have Netflix, Redbox at our neighborhood grocery store, our local library, and thrift store DVDs.

I hadn't noticed until recently how our DVD collection is expanding, and how many we haven't watched yet...



People are dumping their DVD collections so they're cheap at our thrift stores. I find a lot of movies we always meant to watch.

Grace and Frankie is fun.

We quit traditional cable-satellite-broadcast television years ago but haven't run out of things to watch.
