"Spotlight" - movie on Netflix.

Cross-posted in TV forum.

I thought it was very good. It covers the Boston Globe's investigative journalism that revealed Cardinal Law's cover-up of priests who molest, abuse, and rape children. It might trigger some viewers.

Excellent cast, great acting.

I didn't follow the details of the story in 2002 and beyond. I think what surprised me was how many people gave cover to the archdiocese or priests to keep it under wraps, even in the courts. The archdiocese had a lot of power, and made we wonder if we could rely on courts.

Two of the Irish Catholic leaders in Boston were no longer afraid to call out the church and instead called for Justice and an end to the cover up.
