Game ON. Wall Street exec's Super PAC will air $600,000 in ads against Bernie over the next week

A “super PAC” founded by the former TD Ameritrade executive Joe Ricketts is spending more than $600,000 on a television ad in Iowa lashing Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont as “too liberal” in the final days of his close race against Hillary Clinton in the state’s caucuses.

The spot, being aired by the ESA Fund, describes Mr. Sanders’s policy positions on a range of issues, such as tuition-free college and single-payer health care, saying that it amounts to a flood of new government spending. There will be tax increases on Wall Street, big businesses and the “super-rich,” the ad goes on to say.

The spot is expected to be backed by $600,000 in spending on television ads, and there will be additional expenditures on radio and digital advertising.

Mr. Ricketts has been a major Republican donor this cycle in the presidential race, but with the ad, his group is injecting itself into the Democratic nominating contest.

I hate them.

Except the lesbian sister who is a dem.

They are not very popular here in Chicago with raising the ticket price and changing the whole neighborhood of Wrigleyville in Chicago.

Full of positive imagery and issues that appeal to liberal caucus voters. Best evidence yet of the Republican party trying to help Sanders beat Clinton.

Be careful what you wish for. Its hard to believe the GOPukes could be so stupid as to believe their own garbage, but then again, Trump

This ad is too clever by far. It tells the truth, always a bad idea for the Right, and is perfect up to the very last line. The mistake? Bernie is too liberal. MAJOR FAIL

Looking at the GOP reminds me of the ship personnel in Titanic. Their ship ran aground in Baghdad and they've been sinking ever since.

Anyway, thanks for the ad.

because he's too far right to win. That'd be the same thing. Someone too far right or too far left cannot win. imo

Heres a better analysis of the ad. I Know you get it, but some other people on here obviously do not. http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/anti-sanders-attack-ad-isnt-quite-what-it-seems-be

Hopefully Maddow will cover it on her show.

Wall street attacking Bernie and not Hillary? Why not? Could it be that Hillary is in Wall street's
pocket and that she is Republican-lite? Ok former Wall Street Exec. same difference.
