Hey, guys, a little off-topic: Does anyone know who started this group?

Or how a group is started? Do we suggest a group to the Admins or something? My memory is vague, and a cursory glance around didn't reveal anything. Thanks a bunch for any help, and sorry for a rudimentary question, but with my MS I just can't process as much as I used to be able to. (brain lesions and nerve damage. goes all the way to my brain stem if that helps you understand). Thanks again for any input.

1. IIRC Manny started it

All it takes is a post in GD with enough people supporting the group and then you ask the admins and they generally will create the group.

basically
1 suggest to admin
2 gather 'signatures' or posts where people say 'good idea' (ie promote the idea)
3 write a statement of purpose
(example working poor) :
