3. As things stand, yes. I believe that for now anyway, as far as cable news they're the best we can do

As you know, Reagan's dream was to have a highly-monopolized, all-right wing tv news media dominated by Fox.

That's why he expedited Murdick's citizenship papers and illegally granted Faux News its news license in 1985, and then had the FCC ditch equal time rules. The fix, he thought, was in.

And unfortunately, many of those plans really have come to fruition - with 6 companies controlling news that used to be handled by 85 companies or so up to the Carter years.

That's why, as limited as they are by their Comcast bosses, I really appreciate those three. They really do try to keep it real in every way they still can.
