Moderator Accidentally Whispers “Oh God” Into Mic When Bernie Brings Up Vietnam

as Sanders opened with a Vietnam reference, one of the debate’s moderators—apparently unaware her mic was still on—could be heard sighing in the background, “Oh, god.”

It was the reflexive response of an antsy kid who just had to listen to grandpa talk about his Iraq war vote for the 52nd time, and if you weren’t paying close attention, you almost certainly would have missed it.

I thought the moderators were framing most of their questions out of the gate from a bizarre right-wing angle (towards both candidates), and this sort of confirmed my suspicions.

If you feel that strongly you really should contact PBS. the moderator probably won't be fired, but at least you know you made your voice heard.

How is Bernie letting Hillary get away with being some kind of advocate for improving the lives of low-wage workers or being pro-gun control when she sat on their board from 86-92? Safe to say their treatment of workers wasn't any better then, and they were certainly still the largest distributor of guns in the country. He already goes after the Walton family. I hope he starts taking the Walmart talking point to its logical conclusion; and I believe there is a way for him to do that which is principled. The point is to keep it about the broader issue of--again--the incestuous relationship between corporate America and our political system. All he needs to do is point out Hillary's relationship here, but couch it in the terms: "this isn't about personal attacks; I don't believe Hillary wanted to be in this kind of position, but this is just the way the game is rigged, Republicans and Democrats alike are stuck in this crap system, and we need to change that."

We watched Washington Week for years...then I don't remember exactly if it was about 2008 that we got so MAD...she was making just snarky comments, must have been about Obama...it then seemed to blatant that she was either Republican leaning or the very right side of any Democrat. She's another, in the beltway bubble.

Never watched the show again.

This country has no sense of history. It is an open question as to whether our destruction of South East Asia under Nixon/Kissinger is/was worse than what Bush/Cheney did in the Middle East but what kind of a question is that for our country to have to ask?

How did we come to this? Two destructive and world destroying LOST wars. Is that the US heritage after winning against the Nazis?

And cluster bombs? And land mines? And 50,000 dead Iraqi kids was worth it to Allbright?

We have to elect Sanders. He is literally the last chance for me.
