(65,340 posts)didn't start until 7:00, I knew I couldn't handle it--and that I couldn't spare the time. If I'd had someone to go with, I might have tried to do it, but I couldn't go that early (to get good parking--handicapped parking--and to get a good position inside) and then just stay in one place for hours.

(25,245 posts)The doors of the Bernie rally opened around 5:30pm and Bernie didn't start talking until 8pm. I was in line at 4:30pm thinking the rally would start at 6pm. Fortunately - I had a great time talking to all the Bernie supporters around me and trading stories. It was great people watching as well. The evening actually flew by and I wish it would have lasted longer. It was great to connect with other Bernie supporters and feel the electricity in the arena. It was a great evening and one I'll never forget.

(65,340 posts)truly difficult.
Also, I needed to grade papers, but attendees were told not to bring bags, so I wouldn't have been able to have my work with me, even if I could find a place to sit so I could work.

(2,450 posts)I am still recovering, a week later. The line was long and he started an hour after the planned time. I can't be on my feet that long for the line and then even more inside with no seating whatsoever. It was real hard but I managed to get through it. I sat on the floor for a while too, which is painful. I had a blast though - it was so much fun and the excitement helped by giving me a boost. I don't think I'll do it again unless it's a venue with seating and I can find a way to sit through the line.

(972 posts)line ahead of us. They started letting people enter at 4 and when Bernie started his speech around 7 he said that there were a couple of thousand folks still outside.
