Because they knew he would turn out to be such a horrible president that it would be easy for her to beat him in the 2004 election. They didn't support Gore for a couple of reasons, one, he pretty much distanced himself from Bill Clinton and two, if Gore was elected it would be hard to primary him in 2004. What they didn't plan on was 9/11 and the overwhelming surge of jingoism it created. Hillary jumped on the patriotic bandwagon and became a cheerleader for war, which she was at least through the 2004 election. But the Clintons still did not support John Kerry because, once again, she had designs on 2008 and if Kerry got elected, they would have to oppose a sitting Democratic president in the primary. It was definitely in the Clintons best interest that Kerry lose the election and then-DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe, a Clinton stooge, made sure of a Kerry loss by failing to press for a probe of the Ohio vote which almost certainly would have thrown that important swing state into the Kerry column and resulted in a Kerry presidency.

Of course by 2008, Obama happened and we know the rest of the story.

to when he was Gov of Arkansas and the drug running by the CIA into Mena airport.

Bill Clinton also spoke twice as long in a very boring, rambling speech that prohibited Dukasis' acceptance speech at the 88 convention from being seen by most of America because it was way after the late news and past prime time.

See also Gary Hart and Bill Clinton during this time.

Bill also wrote editorials in UK papers telling the Brits to trust Tony Blair's and Bush's judgement on going to war in Iraq

Bill then went on and helped tried to legitimize Bush jr by going to sports games and non presidential functions that gave the news media that visual optic.

That blowjob also tainted the 2000 election to Bush

fuck him.

If you watch Kerrys concession speech on YT, youll see that while he has a lot of thoughts to his ordinary citizen supporters, he has no words for then DNC powerstructures. And nowhere does he cites Clintons.
Guess what!

In fact I heard HRC in fine didnt wanted to run in 2004 because she knew it would be hard to win.
So the Clintons also ensured John Kerry lost by sabotaging his message so HRC could havr her 2008 nomination.
Haddnt Obama ran, this would have happen.
