What do you think she meant when she said "Quote Bailout"?
That, to me, sounded like she was downplaying the fact that the taxpayers indeed bailed out bankers -that what we call "bailout" wasn't really a "bailout," and the bankers paid their dues afterwards.
Who says that about bailout? Does anybody know anybody who phrases bailout that way? You don't say that unless you are a Wall Street banker yourself. And if you're a politician, you're not supposed to say that to the public. And yet, she did.
Anyone could tell that she was worn out, and oftentimes fumbled during Miami debate. She was visibly shaken when Bernie brought up 15 million dollars donation from Wall Street. She let a lot of things slip out last night (Like..."It's not easy for me to do what I think is right," "If it's too good to be true, then probably it is," which was very revealing to me because I've never really thought she was arrogant like so many people say she is. She strikes me as someone who is cynical, insecure, and conflicted. While she's always put on a strong persona for votes).
It occurred to me that the "Quote Bailout" comment was one of those things that slipped out last night -I think that's the way she phrases bailout when she talks to the bankers behind closed doors. I think she's quite used to phrasing bailout like that, and in the moment of weakness, it just came out of her. I don't know how many viewers noticed that though. The "pundits" certainly didn't.
