New Yorkers: "How to Prevent Stolen Elections"

Last edited Mon Mar 28, 2016, 12:44 PM - Edit history (2)

This Thursday, nite. In Hastings ( lower Westchester, 15 mins north of NYC line.)

I got this notice from a local progressive group. Might be a good idea if some NYS Sanders supporters attended.

Our presidential primary is April 19. NYS DEM machine is solidly behind our opponent. Enough said.

We'd be foolish in the extreme not to be highly vigilant. We.... most of us anyway.... probably don't know much about stealing elections.

I'm not so sure about the machine.

I plan to attend. Knowledge is power. Potentially, anyway.

>>>Hello All – Please join us next Thursday, March 31st, when our forum on “How to Prevent Stolen Elections” will be at the Hastings Community Center (Main St.), beginning at 7:30 pm. To set the right tone for this important/interesting event, here is a segment from "The Daily Show" that addresses a few (just a few!) of the problems we confront in ensuring election-integrity. The program is free, and we hope for lots of discussion. Please join us!

Our forum speakers will include Virginia Martin, Democratic Election Commissioner in Columbia Country (where they hand-count paper ballots); Kathleen Campbell, a former election commissioner in North Carolina, who will speak about the state’s rampant voter suppression; and Allegra Dengler, who will speak about the election stealing/computer hacker record to-date across the USA. (For an excellent/useful video archive of short & long documentaries about how computers/people can steal elections, go here.)

One of our lead volunteers lives in Hastings so I'd like to pass it along to her, but she'll want to know who it is. Ill see if I can get some more of the Westchester for Bernie people to attend as well.

thank you!

ABOUT VICTORIA COLLIER

Victoria Collier is the daughter and niece of James and Kenneth Collier, investigative journalists and authors of Votescam: The Stealing of America. After the death of her father in 1998, Victoria took up the torch, speaking and writing on the threat to democracy posed by a privatization of our voting process, in particular the use of secretly programmed, riggable, hackable computerized voting machines.

Victoria has appeared on radio shows nationwide and in a number of documentaries on election theft. In 2004 she was a special guest lecturer at the Institute for Policy Studies. Most recently, Victoria was a speaker at the Democracy Convention in Madison, Wisconsin, August 2011, holding workshops on the need for hand-counted paper ballots and publicly observable elections.

Her expose "The Stolen Vote" is scheduled to appear as the the cover story of Harper's Magazine in the November, 2012 edition.

She is the editor of www.votescam.org.

As a New Rochellean I can't consider Hastings as "lower" Westchester

Great idea. We must prevent the Clinton mafia from stealing this election.
