I think Hillary may be in for a nasty surprise in NY.

Yes it's her "home State" yet again. But it is also Bernie's and his accent proves it every time you hear him speak.

More importantly, when she got elected and re-elected to the Senate, she was running as a liberal during Bush years. Her time in office is indelibly associated with her vote for the IWR, and her time after that is indelibly associated with cashing out on Wall Street.

She is now running as a neocon who happens to be against Citizens United. The only issue where she maintains credibility is her neoconservatism. I know she has said her vote was a mistake, but nobody really believes that.

A piece of ancient wisdom for you Hillary: You don't enter the same river twice. NY does not love you.

As a past resident and frequent visitor to those rural areas, I'm seeing lots of small town Republicans who are maybe just hateful enough with the status quo to not vote Hillary, but then .... WHO?

It's a real dilemma. I can't get my brother to understand that by remaining an "Independent", that he won't have a voice in the primary.

It was an insult according to this article. Remember that the comment was made in the context of "Clinton is going to run a campaign like a Senator". SO Sanders running like a Brooklynite is in contrast to running like a Senator.

Seriously.

Is Brooklynite the new "Chicago politician?" - cause that would be Clinton and Obama both.

14. I can tell you what a Brooklynite is
Tue Mar 29, 2016, 12:07 PM
Mar 2016

I am one. Born and raised in the 4th largest city in the US (if it was a city)
Some famous Brooklynites include: Issac Asimov, Mel Brooks, Shirley Chisholm, Aaron Copeland, Arlo Guthrie, The Three Stooges, Danny Kaye, Carole King, Lou Reed, Joan Rivers, Phil Rizzuto, Carl Sagan, Mae West, Walt Whithman, Henny Youngman, and many others.
These folks are just plain folks like you and me. We speak with a distinctive voice, and a distinctive direct attitude. We are individuals, and citizens of Planet Earth. It may not seem like we care, but get to know us, and you will find that we care for one another as much or more than anyone else.

I guess what I am trying to say is that we are a diverse bunch of people, who come from immigrants from all over the place, and we do what we can to get along, because we have to in order to survive. We try to make things better between these different cultures, and appreciate the best in each of them, while integrating them into our own culture. Not much surprises us, as we see a lot of different things in our neighborhoods.

We are not above anyone, we are part of the masses. Being a Brooklynite is a state of mind.

I guess running like a Brooklynite, is running with respect for others, and telling it straight, and being honest to people if you want to succeed.

I want a Falafel from Ave J, and a hot dog from Nathan's now. And a walk on the Coney Island Boardwalk.

Now she has the 4th largest city in the US (if it was a city) against her!

They just have their office there because that part of Brooklyn has become gentrified, and is "cool." Wait about 10 years, and nobody will go there any more.

What she meant by that, I think, was more of "They are my constituents too, and those poor babies are unprotected and need a senator to look out for them."

What it sounded like in the real world is, "Hey, butt out. I earned those speaking fees fair and square. You little people simply don't get how the world operates, while I do. Those millions and the payments to the foundation? I am telling you that there is no "is" there. So butt out and leave the grifting to those who know and understand it best."
