Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumAnybody still watching Rachel? Listen to this...
Rachael didn't like Bernie's answer about how much time they spend talking about Donald Trump's comments about abortion. So she said this just now - it is obvious that Bernie Sanders doesn't think abortion is an important issue.
Fuck you Rachel.

(25,270 posts)Chuck Todd, Rachel and Kornacki piled on Bernie calling him cranky and saying that he is throwing his aides under the bus. Any chance that they get on MSNBC - they t5ake shots at Bernie and try to bring him down a notch. Todd said Bernie needs a significant win in Wisconsin and a 52% 48% win won't do it for him.

That burned me up so bad I went to MSNBC.com to try and make a complaint but could not find a way to make contact. Then they called him cranky and said this is what his campaign has come to, or something to that nature. They are so biased toward Hillary it's laughable. F them

(2,968 posts)as Rachel asked him a question (I can't remember
what it was now) but I got a real bad vibe. I immediately clicked off
the livestream. I thought this isn't going to go well and I don't want to
watch it. It'll only piss me off. You guys confirmed my feelings. I figured if
it went well I would watch the interview later. Not now!

(696 posts)Paraphrasing 'I wanted to get your response to what Bernie said about what Trump said.....Bernie said what Trump said was stupid and he's trying to get attention again, and that we should go on to more important issues....do you agree with that? So of course Hillary didn't agree with that and gave her usual bloviated answer.
Then I WATCHED what Bernie said and there was so much more to it! Rachel is full of it. And it's a frickin' shame.

(1,603 posts)It's so obvious Team Hillary's gave Rachel the questions so Hillary can sit back and pontify and make herself look Presidential.
I knew it was a setup when Rachel gave us that special behind the scenes look of how they had to prepare the venue beforehand which, coincidentally, included a brief clip of her and her team fact checking "their" questions.

(24,010 posts)He was unequivocal. And he spoke about it at length. There is NO QUESTION of his rock solid position on women controlling their own bodies, and he repeats his position frequently.
I find it mind boggling that Maddow would say the opposite. Maybe it was to cover for Clinton on her waffling? Anybody have Clinton's waffling quote? I didn't grab the detail. (I think it was about 3rd trimester abortions?)
Utterly disreputable for a journalist, if that's what she was doing, covering for Clinton.
But I have a feeling the whole Trump-Clinton show is some kind of kabuki theater. Trump sets Clinton up to swoop in with feminist outrage and DEFEND WOMEN. He is a made-to-order candidate for Clinton to triumph against.
Say that's the case, that Trump is pre-planned foil. Then Maddow's job is to knock Sanders out of the exchange. Sanders, the true blue defender of women's rights (not to mention the true blue defender of POOR women), gets lied about and marginalized, by the ONE QUESTION I have EVER seen Sanders get trapped by: 'What do you think of Trump saying that women should be punished for getting an abortion?' Bernie: (after saying how bad and flabbergasting that was, says something like this) But the media lets him do this, come out with this week's outrageous statement, then takes over the media for a week with it.
Maddow: GOTCHA!
So she runs to Clinton and they come up with Bernie is trivializing women's rights.
I find this scenario more believable than that the whole thing happened spontaneously. And this scenario has the premise that Trump doesn't really want to be president; he's running as a favor to Bill, to scare everybody, especially women, and make us all run into Hillary's arms for protection.
I'm thinking that was the game plan. But Sanders fucked it up by running, and by not just running but running very well and blowing Hillary out of the water in the last five states. Can't have a kabuki play with a real person entering the picture and pulling the scenery down and wiping the makeup off and ridiculing the costumes as unreal.

(24,010 posts)Yes, it's about 3rd trimester abortions.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511614277
The vid is here
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2015/09/29/hillary_clinton_i_could_compromise_on_abortion_if_it_included_exceptions_for_mothers_health.html
And it looks recent (but no date is given). (Clinton looks like she does now--it's not an old vid.)
So, if this is "going viral," it provides a motive for Rachel Maddow to give cover for Clinton on abortion by just plain outright lying about Sanders' views.

(41,600 posts)own body - in every stump speech he gives! Rachel has obviously decided her million dollar paychecks mean more to her than poor people/least of these.
We The People need to BOYCOTT MSNBC and CNN! The only thing that matters to them is MONEY. No viewers equals less advertising money. If people would turn them off, leave them off - even when Bernie is on for a token appearance, then things would change.
We do have alternative media now. Bernie 2016.TV Live, TYT Live, Majority Report, Nicole Sandler, Mike Malloy, Tim Black, Sane Progressive, Online Progressive Reporters (Us Uncut, Huffpo, etc), Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, Progressive blogs, etc... There's no shortage of online news sources.
Progressives have been given a big old middle finger from the corrupt corporate owned MSM and the corrupt corporate owned MSM needs to be BOYCOTTED BY PROGRESSIVES.....a REAL, CONCERTED EFFORT/MOVEMENT to STOP WATCHING their corrupt CORPORATE OWNED MSM. The same movement behind Bernie, needs to get behind a movement to BOYCOTT. It's the ONLY THING that will change what they are doing.
