Isn't it interesting how the authoritarians have turned Bernie into some kind of monster...

...in their minds, with Jane even worse than a monster?

It is very akin to the way they demonized Ed Snowden and Glenn Greenwald. Same kind of paranoia laced with delusions and attacks made up wholly from nothing.

They puff up Jane to be sort of like a Mafia person, guilty of massive frauds.

Can someone please explain the state of mind that leads to this kind of magic thinking?

Very simplistic, of course.

I mean - Snowden really planned his revelations to get at Obama?
And Bernie and Jane do not worship at the Clinton's feet. How dare they! They were supposed to graciously hand over the supporters and money and grassroots organization months and months ago. What could they possibly be up to? Hmmmmm?

That pretty much sums it up. A weird mixture of paranoia mixed with authoritarianism. JMO, of course. I just avoid them.

And meddling in other countries with bloody results. And selling influence for "contributions". Give the Clintons some money, get an arms deal! And the Clinton's private jet costs, billed to their "charity" are in the millions. Let's not mention how they screwed over the poor people of Haiti. And who gets to pick out the interns, if Hilary gets to be president?

I happily gave to campaign so that Bernie could fly to the Vatican. So did everybody else.

You should spread your bullshit in another group, my dear. Total failure here. Just leaves a faint lingering odor of bullshit.

I think a lot of hrc supporters LOVE the feeling that there's a "strong" candidate that they can somehow identify with.
Bill had a similar following in the 90s as someone who appeared "strong". Never mind that "strong" means more wars, corporate rule, etc.

Lot of them are just fine with the status quo and power being the deciding factor. They "associate" with hrc because that gives "them" a sense of power - even when that power is using them and actively working against them. As long as they *say* the right things it doesn't matter what they actually do - because that can be excused by any number or circumstances by a "smart" politician as the "way things work in the real world".

It's the exact same thing the republicans have been doing and getting away with for years.

antisemitic bias. That's why so much of it is about money and fraud and scheming, these are of course classic tropes of the genre, a well established genre. Some have admitted it, others have been PPR'd for it, so why pretend otherwise?

They are reacting just as we should expect conservatives to react.

Clinton is the vanguard of a conservative coup to (officially) take over our party.

If we thought Obama's cabinet was too right leaning, just wait for Hillary's.

There ARE powerful People who don't want to see any changes to the Wealth Disparity,
and who hate the New Deal/Great Society,
and there are many thousands who follow them without question.

I will never understand HOW someone who makes less than $Million/year can support ANY Clinton. Back in the 60s and 70s, I used to ridicule without mercy people who Worked for a Living, and voted for Republicans.....and here we are.
I am being asked by the Democratic Party to "unify", and vote AGAINST my own financial interest.
