what kinds of feedback are you seeing out and about social media?

Away from DU?

I've been reviewing facebook and seeing very few posts in defense of yesterday's election in general and the notion that Bernie voters should assimilate behind HRC in particular.

The Nation's facebook feed is thousands of comments long, with many many common sense comments and many berning comments. It actually feels good to read the thoughts of people who aren't afraid of being punished or bullied for expressing themselves! What a novel thing. No censorship.

So what are you coming across? I haven't checked twitter, and haven't checked kos or any of the other sites yet.

There are several fundraisers for travel to Philly, both delegates and protestors. A lessening of talk about writing in Sanders. Big increase in interest in Stein. Not many saying they'll vote for Clinton, but they're treated respectfully. No mention of Trump voting.
Outside the Sanders groups, a greater number will vote for Clinton. I've come across several Brock social media trolls. Particularly nasty and insulting. A surprising amount of interest in Stein...that particularly sets off the Brockoli trolls. Evidently Camp Weathervane figured that once they neutralized Sanders that would end any threat from her left and his supporters will be brought to heel. Stein has caught them quite by surprise.

Because call-ins on my local public radio were saying they were going with Stein. I did hear one Bernie supporter say she would go with Hillary.

I had a job for a long time that put me in the community spotlight. I try to maintain that because it's easy to get stuff done. If I need anything in this town (Denver) I just have to throw my feelers out there and somebody answers.

And not all are close friends. Maybe 100. The other are acquaintances. I get a lot of friend requests and I just always say yes. Generally that worked for or with me or know me from the Denver scene.

I'm popular. Lol. I always said when I was a kid that I wanted be popular when I grow up and that when I was I wouldn't treat people like the popular kids. I try to "friend" them all...and I try to wish all of them happy birthday and get the majority of them. And any time I'm recognized on the street (big fish,
Small pond) I try to exchange niceties with the person...even if I can't remember them.

It greases the wheels of life and makes it very easy for me in this town.

I just refuse to deal with the asshat insiders...and seeing as I would never take money for influence, I'd probably see a reduction in my income.

No thanks. I'm active in cannabis politics. But other than that, my activism is mostly whining online. Lol

and others who are saying Hillary is much, much better than Trump, so suck it up and vote. The younger, most progressive people seem least likely to vote for Hillary, and for the moment seem too heartbroken/angry/disgusted to continue with political activism. The older people who've been politically engaged are urging them to remember SCOTUS and to keep fighting for a more progressive Congress.

To give up, because it's rigged?

I know this. The night that the election was taken away from Al Gore was the night that a young man in my family lost all faith in the goodness of America, and it was a very sad awakening. It's still sad.

..is that it isn't the responsibility of Bernie supporters to bail Hillary out, simply because she can't win without progressives and independents. It's her responsibility to come up with the necessary votes.

There will be no "guilting" us.

i only saw one former undecided say they're voting for Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson.

Had quite the FB duel.

In my circle, I have about 600+ active Bernie supporters - many I'm now working with to defeat Mark Kirk, recall Bruce Rauner, and go after Rahm Emmanuel.

I deeply grieve Bernie's loss even as I focus locally.

And wonder about the FBI and IA IG reports...

The number of uncounted votes in CA is astounding.

I read somewhere that the election isn't certified for 25 days.

BUT, is there any guarantee that they will ever be counted??

I just learned today that if a Californian requested a vote by mail ballot there, Bernie was NOT ON the list of Democratic candidates!!

And many other horrible anomalies. Just a stinking mess.

And no exit polling.

I see a lot of Bernie on FB and of course comments on news items for him run to love/crazy old man.

But, mainly I see Hillary hatred out there. Except for a few friends on FB who love her.

This is all MSM because I want to check the pulse of regular people not political wonks like us.
