***So no, Im not sorry he lost. The Tea Party didnt take over the Republican Partyand rise to national powerby celebrating the victories of its adversaries. And in the struggle for controlor if you want to be poetic, for the soulof the Democratic Party, we need to be clear not just on what we stand for, but on who stands against us. Corporate Democrats and the whole corrupt culture of consultants who suck the life and drain the principles out of any progressive movement need to be fought, not friendedeven on Facebook. We dont all have to agree on everythingour diversity is a source of strength, not just demographically but also in the issues we lift up and the tactics we use. But we have to agree on some core set of issues that includes racial justice, environmental justice, economic justice, access to health careincluding safe and legal abortionas well as access to higher education, the freedom to practice solidarity at work, and the right to love whomever we choose.***

" Nobody forced Ossoff to dismiss single payer, or held a gun to his head and made him use dog-whistle language about both parties in Washington wasting taxpayer dollars. Those messages werent aimed at Georgia voters; they were aimed at funders, like the supposed pragmatists at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee who stiffed James Thompson in Kansas and spent a paltry $340,000 on Rob Quists race in Montana, but lavished millions on Ossoffs equally doomed campaign."
I seriously think someone thinks we are not paying attention.. or they just don't care
Else You Are Mad
(3,040 posts)Until the average Democrat has the ability to cut a hundred thousand dollars check or more, they will not care that they know we know. By 2024, if nothing changes, I have a feeling they will just our right say "I am here for the wealthy donors and corporations."

(2,872 posts)the opportunities being currently wasted are stunning.. single payer alone would decimate the republican "healthcare" plan currently in the shadows.. Roll it out now before the right co-ops it in 2018.. not that they will follow through, they'll just use it for their gullible followers.. and the "low info" 2/4 year voter..
