Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has endorsed Marina Meerburg to represent Stowe in the Vermont State Legislature. The announcement, made Thursday, September 13, underscores the importance of a race in which Meerburg is challenging a well-funded six-term incumbent who has repeatedly run unopposed for the Lamoille-1 seat.
The public is invited to a Stowe Rally with Sen. Bernie Sanders and Marina Meerburg at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe on Saturday, September 22, from 9:30-11:30 AM. Light breakfast will be served.
Sanders says: “Marina Meerburg is a tireless advocate and will fight for an economy that works for all Vermonters, not just a select few. Electing her means building a Vermont that supports working families with a higher minimum wage, paid family leave, a clean environment, and affordable health care.
