It was $2,500 a head just to be in the same room with Obama for a reception of under an hour. That is, if you didn't want to, or could not, go for the $10,000 a head dinner.

Still, it's all voluntary and Americans always live in hope that the one we're supporting for President will be "THE One, people,: as Oprah put it in 2008.

I'll make occasional donations on other occasions, but even the lower level of $200 is beyond me at this time. However, as a retiree, I have more time than money, and that will also be useful.

$200 is a lot. I just put in a new starter and cannot make the math add up for September's rent.

But some kind soul put this up on the Seattle for Bernie FB page so here it is for all of us to enjoy.

I have been thinking about you. You mentioned working on the Westlake event before the day came. I hope you and your fellow workers are feeling okay after putting so much work in.
