Bernie got about ~45,000 new twitter followers during and after the GOP debate last night. Here are the stats: http://imgur.com/JzzgMtG (taken from www.bernrate.com)

On the Republican side, Carly Fiorina did the best, with 26,000 new followers. Carson got 25,000, Trump got 14,000, and everyone else less than 10,000. Here's the full list:

In other words, Bernie got the most new twitter followers of any candidate... From a GOP debate.

Without significant media coverage ... without but a trifle of support from the national Democratic Party (yeah, I know, he isn't a Democrat, but he's is still getting little support) - This man has become a force of nature. His message is getting out, and people are liking it, creating an ever growing spiral of support ... I am sure many of those new Twitter followers are simply curious, but some of those window shoppers are gonna recognize the value of his message, and buy the product.

With tools like Twitter, Facebook, and especially Reddit, which played a significant role in boosting Bernie's internets presence, Bernie is bypassing the traditional channels, and leapfrogging over the common obstacles to a progressive politician.

It's pretty much breathtaking how his popularity is exploding ...

and, hell, he's just getting started ... Hah ! He has oodles of time to translate energetic support into a ground game.

This is unprecedented in my lifetime (almost 60)
