WASHINGTON Democratic presidential candidate and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders rolled out a long list of celebrity endorsers Friday, another sign that his presidential campaign is stepping up its game as polls continue to show him surging in early primary states against national frontrunner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In a release, the campaign touted a sampling of the 128 celebrities who signed a letter stating, We endorse Bernie Sanders to become the 2016 Democratic Nominee for President of the United States.
A small sampling of the names includes actors Will Ferrell and Mark Ruffalo, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, actor and musician Michael Killer Mike Render, Margaret Cho, and co-founder of Apple Computer, Steve Wozniak, just to name a few, reads the release.

(2,672 posts)The band name derived by several band members playing with a ouija board and after one band member asked it a question, it spelled out Alice Cooper.
Alice Copper was the name of the group and it wasn't intended for Vincent Damon Furnier, the lead singer. But, people started calling Vincent after the band name and it stuck.
BTW, I'm not a fan of Alice Cooper, I just love trivia.

(534 posts)I've always admired her work.
The list is notable for some missing people, however. Where, for example is Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon's long-time partner? Where's Neil Young, I could have sworn I read elsewhere that he supports Senator Sanders. Where's John Cusack, B-Fleck, Eminem or other hardcore, outspoken Progressive Democrats?
128 is a good start but I expect Bernie will more than double that once the slowpokes get on board.

Frankly, good for sanders for getting them, but most celebrity endorsements are utterly meaningless. They don't change my opinion of sanders at all, although it may cause me to have a more favorable opinion of some of the celebrities.

Thats funny - One of my favorite RHCP songs is Pea - NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR PEOPLE WHO DONT LIKE CUSSING - because it calls out the people Bernie and his supporters would naturally be sickened by;
Fuck you asshole
You homophobic redneck dick
You're big and tough and macho
You can kick my ass
So fucking what
