Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWho was that woman, that "Democratic strategist" on CNN around noon today...
who said that Bernie Sanders had a problem with interacting (paraphrase) because he was always talking to huge crowds. She went on to praise Hillary's interaction with supporters.
This was a pretty obvious new twist to the "talking to small crowds has an advantage" meme.
Anyone else catch that interview? Would love to know who that was.

(40,416 posts)It is a well known logical fallacy, where one attempts to explain away a benefit some opponent has. Of course, the pleading is utter tosh, but that does not stop it from happening.

(45,251 posts)interact because of that? Isn't he past his formative years? Should we take him to the orthodontist? For that matter, isn't Hillary past her formative years? Is she just learning to interact?
BTW, if he does not know how to interact, why is he better liked by Republican legislators than Hillary was and also much better at getting bills and amendments passed than Hillary was?*

Hillary passed some bills in her years as a Senator, but many of them were, for want of a better word, ceremonial.

My prior post was supposed to contain two different links. Instead, I posted the same link twice. I fixed it. One story was about how Republicans like to work with Sanders and the other story was about his great veterans' bill negotiation with McCain, which became a case study in working across the aisle at the Brookings Institute.

I think Bernie will do just fine "Ashleigh"! Ever noticed that he is a Senator and has had a lifetime of talking to people from 1 on 1 to tens of thousands?
She sounds like another Hillbot.

Was it her?
She's usually very articulate and smart.

(41,188 posts)her bio online she is a Dem. strategist and CNN commenter but I haven't seen her in a long while. I think she resurfaced recently. In 2012 she made the rather blunt and unwise comment that Ann Romney 'has never worked a day in her life!' She said it very loudly and forcefully, and I'm no fan of the Romneys. After that I read Rosen went to work in communications for BP.

(45,251 posts)In a moment of exasperation, when I was probably revved up about something else entirely, I took up on the board with you something I should have mentioned much more mildly by pm and have regretted it since. Inasmuch as I took it up with you on the board, I'll apologize on the board.
I was wrong and I am very sorry.
