i think some are scared...anyone else notice a huge increase on attacks on bernie?

i don't even need to link..they are all over gdp. something tells me the internal polling for hillary is bad for iowa and nh, and the talking points have been distributed.

There's a lot of shit going down in Iowa. All signs point to a very anemic Clinton campaign with very low enthusiasm. And believe me, they've tried everything in Iowa. Bernie was blacked out of he media while the headlines screamed that Clinton was inevitable. Literally. That's not a joke.

The media has been so biased here that an article about the Des Moines debate included info about Hillary's economic policies, video of her speaking about the economy--and not one mention of Sanders. Crazy.

Despite all of this, Bernie's rally's are attracting 2,000+. Her rallies get 200-300 people, some not even that.

The last two Iowa polls show Clinton with a single-digit lead.

There's one month before The Iowa caucus. The mo is with Bernie. The Clinton camp knows that if they don't stop the hemmoraghing that she's toast. If the trends continue, it could be a big loss for her.

Sander's drew 10,000+ crowds in the summer in Iowa. He stopped these big rallies. My guess is that he's waiting to unleash the big firepower during the last few weeks of Iowa campaigning, to help him peak at the right time. Can you imagine the further damage to the Clinton camp if she continues to draw sparse audiences and Sanders has 10,000 screaming fans in downtown Des Moines? The optics will kill her.

I think the Clinton camp is in crisis in Iowa. They're most likely going to lose NH too. There goes every narrative that her campaign has spent building up for the past 8 years.

Bernie has 20 Iowa events scheduled from 12/23 until Jan 1. Clinton hasn't done any Iowa campaign events since 12/22 and according to her campaign won't return to Iowa until 1/4.

This is for Hillary and Bernie supporters to note. In order for a revolution to occur it only takes 3.5% or 4.7%(MAY be off on .2% on the 4.7 number). This has been documented and it comes even sooner when non-violence is the tool used. So I ask you, do you think we have the numbers with Bernie to inaugurate a peaceful political revolution? I think we do and that some of the Trump supporters may come with us and distance themselves from Trump, especially from the racism and Misogyny propagated by that campaign given Trump's silence.
This peaceful political revolution will happen whether Bernie wins the nomination or not and I'd just as soon it happen sooner rather than later. Bernie is the catalyst for this change. Sing it with me...runoff voting, voting holiday, tuition-free universities, Medicare for all, paper ballots, etc. Ideas like these will make our political system truly a reflection of the people, including the Hillary supporters, will be more happy with their state/federal/local election results I would assume.
Also, along the campaign, primary and general, I would ask Anonymous to keep an eye on the voting machines and make sure no fraud is being perpetrated.

Not only an increase. We've seen that what seems to be many attacks are just a few of the same attacks, repeated ad nauseum several times a day and resurrected weekly and monthly, because it seems like the agenda is to make sure that there are plenty of attacks on the front page at all times, whether there is any legitimacy or not.

I'm not sure if I've just got attack fatigue, or if my impressions are true, but it seems like the attacks are not only increasing in number, but in pure illogic and ludicrosity.

The determined demeaning, patronizing, and engaging in ludicrous attacks is a hopeful sign for me. If he really had no chance, they wouldn't have to work so damned hard to try to derail his campaign.

So, now the patients are running the asylum. I am not talking about all of Hillary's supporters of course, just the loud obnoxious few who like to brag about how much money they make. And others who think that asking for a living wage law is asking for puppies and rainbows.

Smears and dirty tricks now get called out and dis-proven within minutes or hours, not days or weeks. They have no chance to take hold and become accepted as truth. Plus we can instantly look up information, such as who a number for a 2 am phone call actually belongs to.

It's why I refuse to put people on ignore or leave GD-P. I do my small part not letting people that are attacking Bernie set the narrative.

but I worry about doing this in the middle of a primary. If all or even most Bernie supporters disappear, this frequently viewed site could become a visible advertisement for Hillary. That would hurt Bernie, imo.

I hope people will stay here until the primary convention. Then, if the wrong candidate wins, we could vacate in droves and it would be entirely appropriate. But if Bernie wins, we could virtually own this site.

Think about it.

own this site support Hillary? Try logging out and look at GDP. The Bernie supporters will never own this site, in fact the Bernie Forum and it's supporters are alert stalked even in our protected group. If a person doesn't like an op in this group they will send alerts on them. Some of the nastiest alerts you will see. Often sent by people on time outs.

I spend less and less time here. I am here because of the posters in the Bernie group.

110. Yes, I'm completely aware of it.

But please reread my comment. When I said "own," it was only in reference to Bernie's winning the nomination. At that point, there would be no other presidential candidate to support. My concern is that this place as a news and information site for Democrats could be, and is becoming, less helpful for Bernie with the exodus of our strongest supporters. I believe online PR and discussion is important now, as we have very little time before the primaries are decided. I just can't emphasize enough how self-defeating I think it would be for Bernie people to give up now. I've noticed that as some of our stronger Bernie people haven't been around, it's getting decidedly rougher around here for those of us who have remained.

I realize that the problems here are terribly unpleasant; I am shocked by what I see every single day. So if some can't take it anymore, it's totally understandable. And perhaps if Bernie supporters did leave, it might take the air out. But again, time is short. Time is short. If people could press on for a few more months ...

I had to strip down this reply; there is so much to say.

It's possible I'm blowing this out of proportion. I'm not on Facebook, so it could be that I'm unaware of great online pro-Bernie activity elsewhere. And maybe I'm placing too much importance on internet forums, period. Could be.

I hadn't noticed it before, but that's quite a collection.

If it interests you (or any Bernie supporter reading this), and if you would like to counter the Hillary pieces yourself, I was surprised to see an article about Bernie's Iowa campaign on the front of the NYTimes this morning. It also includes some info about Hillary's campaign.

Here's the link: www.nytimes.com/2016/01/04/us/politics/bernie-sanders-needing-early-lift-builds-iowa-ground-operation.html

There's an embedded link in it to a poll that looks good for Bernie -- might make a good OP of its own.

that remind me why I trashed GD- the day it was created. Yes, the party inner circle power brokers are running scared. Sanders is campaigning completely outside their influence. He's threatening to derail the gravy train permanently for the DLC.

Expect much worse. Or just trash that forum.

He's threatening to derail the one the media gets for campaign ads because of Citizens United. This is also why the media doesn't talk about Net Neutrality, they want the Internet controlled by essentially seeing pro-Bernie as well as Jill Stein visibility and others frozen out. Sure they won't overtly block it but they will throttle the connection so hard it will be difficult to stream "Democracy Now", FSTV and others. Verizon's head even commented that he has the right to express editorial discretion on those who use FIOS.
