Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumJust got my first hide!
I feel like a member of some important club now!
I DID call a poster in their OP a liar, and as several posters before me pointed out, they were lying. It was ruled 5-2 that I was "over the line" for calling a liar a liar. I then used the pejorative "Shrillaries"...childish, I know, bur fit the OP for sure. The OP then was erased by the poster who also had alerted my post.
Conclusion: Poster KNEW they were lying, and after a hide calling a spade a spade was too embarrassed to leave it up.
Just my theory.
On edit: The post was denigrating Bernie's speech today claiming that he was "undermining" President Obama's gun control initiatives and trying to steal the President's thunder by having a speech on the same day.

The next Badge you need is to be banned from the Annointed One's group...most of DU is banned from there already!

(19,537 posts)My intent was to try and make a comment on her character being DINO-like the way Jar Jar is dinosaur-like, and had notes to the effect in the post too. But the post was hidden because it was saying I was trying to make an unflattering and therefore ugly comment on her appearance, which wasn't my real intent.
And recently I accidentally posted to a Hillary group thread that I thought was in the primaries group thread recommending that a post be pinned to Hillary's group that would have a list of articles backing up a certain set of statements that the poster was noting they were not feeling like trying to support with a wealth of links any more to support certain statements they make in newer posts. Normally when I accidentally post to Hillary group, I delete them, but I thought that the spirit of my response could be useful to them to also help promote reasonable dialogue with some of them if they want to have a place to gather what they feel are good arguments for their positions in other threads elsewhere, so I didn't delete it. Of course the one post I left like that would get me banned. At that point, I ceased to care whether I was banned or not. Being able to post there if you are going to be banned just for the act of posting as opposed to what you are putting in there doesn't seem too useful to me.

(41,600 posts)delicate flowers with kid gloves. You can't call them liars, but you can twist it into "why do you have to lie?" You have to use terms in a general way or they will pounce on you like flies on ....
Even though they deserve to be called what they are, it's best to just ignore their inane bullshit. They're baiting you so they can alert on you. It's what they do. They can't win an argument fairly, so they resort to their alerting game. It's really sad and pathetic.
Also, Bernie's speech was planned long before Obama decided to release his gun control policy yesterday - deliberately, to suck all the oxygen out of the corrupt corporate owned MSM airwaves. Don't think for one minute that wasn't planned to hurt Bernie, because it was.

(5,069 posts)I beat you by about a week for stating that the (in my own words now) actual reality to be faced in this campaign was the charade of (both) Clintons as faux Democrats. It's laughable that both are treated as saints within the Democratic Party when both have pushed the party away from its most cherished ideals.
I agree with the above post (in cog ni to) that the Obama 'gun control' speech was designed to distract from the Sanders on Wall Street which was scheduled long before the Obama theater. The fact that I recognized this as a ploy of the 'coincidence' even before you mentioned it points to its flaws. It will be interesting how far Obama takes actions beyond his rhetoric.

And it was a picture of a dog! Dressed up for Halloween!
It was my neighbor's sweet pit bull wearing a batman costume. He looked adorable! I think it got deleted because his lipstick was out. Does that really offend people? He can't help it!
That being said, imo, there's no reason to call Hillary supporters names. It doesn't make you or Bernie look good and just gives them ammunition. It's easy to discuss policy with them, if they will do so, since Bernie has such great stances.
