Bernie's response to the Moveon.org endorsement.

I’m proud to have MoveOn and its community of millions of members join our people-powered campaign. MoveOn has spent more than 17 years bringing people together to fight for progressive change and stand up against big money interests

. MoveOn's fight to give the American people a voice in our political system was reflected in the group's internal democratic process. I'm humbled by their support and welcome MoveOn's members to the political revolution.

That 74% membership support will probably rise even further now that MoveOn puts volunteers where their endorsement is: Sanders' Iowa campaign.

A very well-timed, thoughtful, artfully nuanced jab at those groups who's CEO's & Director have simply
announced to their membership how they should vote, instead of representing their membership in their endorsement decisions.

Congrats Bernie!!!.

Maybe some unions and organizations like PP could learn a thing or two from MoveOn's methods. I'm willing to speculate that some of the recent endorsements we've groaned about would be quite different in tone if they'd polled their members before throwing in behind someone.
OF COURSE...... when you've been assured - in advance - of who the nominee's gonna be...... oops!

They knew damn well what they were doing. Voting for the Oligarchy on the backs of and in the unsurveyed names of their "minions" or Peasants...only because that's what they are treated like.

Fact is, they are humans and can actually make up their own minds without some 1% Leader speaking for them. I think that's called Oligarchy. Now where have I heard that word...other than my posts?

declare that non-union members shouldn't have to pay dues, these sort of non-democratic endorsements will push paying union members towards dropping out. Why SHOULD they pay dues when their notions are ignored?

I'm glad to see MoveOn members realize which candidate is own their side.

Hillary Clinton declined to participate in a virtual presidential candidates’ forum hosted by MoveOn.org, snubbing one of the largest progressive groups that claims 8 million members.

All three Democratic candidates were invited. Bernie Sanders showed up. So did Martin O'Malley.

“Before this election is over, she’s going to need not only their vote – and she’ll get most of their votes, though some may stay home – she’s going to need their passion.

Hello...hello...there is another major contender. She is not inevitable. His name is Bernie. And for him they have passion. She's not going to get it. Talk about assumptive writing. Just par for the course of the Coronation Nation.

some of the old timers (time working for the party, not age), people that I figured would support the Democratic Establishment, are ardent Sanders supporters. And I heard one the other day say that if H. Clinton wins the nomination, they will support her in the general, but not very enthusiastically.

I have also talked to some students at the local college and they are strongly for Sanders and won't support the Establishment candidate (HRC).

I hope he's loving all the good things that are happening to his campaign and not letting the the bad stuff emanating from the other campaign bother him. He surely knows that many people have been strongly moved by his words and spirit.
