Beer Volcano Candidate 001 -- Negra Moldelo

So at the behest of my youngest who is home from college for the summer, we went out to Mexican food. The place we went has pretty good eats but a horrible bar. So I went with my Mexican restaurant traditional beer: Negra Moldelo. Came with a lime wedge in the mouth of the bottle to help with the scurvy.

Overall I give this grog 2.5 beer volcanoes (out of 5). I am trying to come up with a cool beer volcano graphic to use for my rating but have come up short as of yet. To me, a 2.5 means that I would not be upset if Negra Moldelo is what was presented to me in my beer volcano in the afterlife but I know that there is so much out there. First off, it's a lager so it's not overly complex. It's a good drinking beer and it's better than the Bud or Miller or Coors or other crap out there. But it's also nothing special. It's just consistent and dependable and will do in a pinch. And I hope the FSM will offer more than than that in my beer volcano.

Any bigger fans of this beer out there than I am? Or hate it more than I do?

It is also far from my first choice for use in a beer volcano, but I can think of many worse.

Personally I believe that the Flying Spaghetti Monster (PBUH) will provide magic beer volcanoes that will fill everyone's glass with precisely whatever beer they are craving at the moment. But I do enjoy these theological discussions anyway, and look forward to these being regular threads!

I would be upset if the best that the afterlife had to offer was Negra Moldelo. I would be much happier with a beer volcano that erupted Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

However, on the theological side, I'd wager that the beer volcanoes of paradise emit a perfect brew the likes of which have never been experienced by mortal man, a libation so sublime and perfectly satisfying that only a being as great as the FSM could possibly have created it.

and my plans are post my thoughts on any brews I haven't posted about. Unless I get threatened with the plank because people are sick of hearing about it.

I hope to have more exotic options in near future.

For millenia now, true pastafarians and pirates alike all agreed that pasta goes with red wine.

Pirate rum and beer are for drinking at times other than meals.

Some things in life are sacred, and I do wish you took religion more seriously.
