(2,113 posts)This is also how he's forming his policy plans and why he is out meeting voters in person. He wants his policy proposals to really represent the people and the only way to really, truly do that is to get out there and listen. I've been around a very long time and have never seen a more people driven politician. He is something very, very special and I really hope Democrats wake up and see that while they have the opportunity. Beto is a once in a lifetime type of politician.

(2,113 posts)This is the pledge: "Taking the pledge means that a politician or candidates campaign will adopt a policy to not knowingly accept any contributions over $200 from the PACs, executives, or front groups of fossil fuel companies companies whose primary business is the extraction, processing, distribution, or sale of oil, gas, or coal."
He already doesn't take ANY donations from ANY PACs at all, no companies at all. The only thing he wasn't doing was not taking over $200 from fossil fuel company executives. The pledge does not limit regular employees of fossil fuel companies...just companies and executives. So all this time he was already following most of it.
