Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumYouGov poll: Elizabeth Warren is now among Democratic front runners
Elizabeth Warren has made inroads among Democrats, especially liberals.Just about as many Democratic primary voters in the latest Economist/YouGov Poll say they are considering the Massachusetts Senator for the Democratic presidential nomination as are considering Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. Warren still lags behind former Vice President Joe Biden by just a few percentage points on this question.
The percentage considering Biden has dropped seven points in the last week, while the changes in other candidates percentages are small. Biden remains the clear leader among women and African-Americans, while Warren is considered by more liberals (who are a majority of all Democratic primary voters) than Biden or Sanders.

Here's a video that supporters of Sanders and Warren will enjoy. Farron Cousins of Ring of Fire discusses this poll and why he likes these two candidates.

(8,211 posts)I've never seen a poll with numbers like that before.
I'm excited to see Elizabeth Warren moving up, but the abortion responses are so alarming.

(10,849 posts)I've seen other polls indicate that 68% of the public want Roe to remain untouched.
Republicans have pushed extreme abortion positions to the 2020 forefront. They'll regret that decision.

(1,642 posts)Hopefully, that 52% will just bud out.
Anti-abortion folks are generally much louder than pro-life people. The "folks" need that in order to feel moral about themselves.

(32,782 posts)after writing to my congressman/senators the other day. I had to type in my choice, so it wasn't a multiple choice situation. I voted for EW, then it showed that EW was in 1st place with 36% (2300 other people had been polled). That being said, Yang was in 2nd place with 34%, FWIW. lol.

(1,642 posts)Even Bernie can't keep up with Liz's plans.
Yang seems to put out interesting ideas every day.
But, I'm guessing that this poll is heavily slanted. Call it a hunch.
