Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Poll: Abortion funding reversal helps Biden with primary voters
PoliticoFormer Vice President Joe Bidens reversal on his decades-long support for a law that prohibits using federal funds to pay for abortions could bring him more in line with Democratic primary voters, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.
Nearly a third of voters who say they plan to participate in a Democratic presidential primary or caucus, 32 percent, say they are more likely to vote for Biden after he changed his position on the Hyde Amendment, the ban named for the late Rep. Henry Hyde (R-Ill). Just 19 percent of potential Democratic primary voters say Bidens flip-flop makes them less likely to vote for him.
Asked about the Hyde Amendment which bans federal funds from being used by programs like Medicaid for abortion in most cases Democratic primary voters lean against it, though not overwhelmingly. A plurality, 45 percent, oppose the amendment, while 38 percent support it. The energy is on the side of its opponents, however: 32 percent of Democratic primary voters strongly oppose the Hyde Amendment, more than the 19 percent who strongly support it.
Bidens controversial decision to reverse his stance on the Hyde Amendment [does] little to impact his standing among Democratic primary voters, said Tyler Sinclair, Morning Consults vice president.

Biden can beat trump. He will attack trump one on one. What will hurt us more than ever is left leaning purists. The country is not far left. We have to appeal to moderates too. I would love to see a Biden/Harris ticket. BTW I do not consider a candidate that changes his mind to be weak. It's good for a candidate to be flexible.

Because there is an overwhelming majority who are for women to have a choice, and very lower numbers against having a choice, and just another issue they will lose on in 2020. Biden screwed up not addressing this earlier, but at least came around. He has other issues he also needs to come around on or it'll just make him weaker as a candidate.
