Pete Buttigieg Promises To Immediately Scrub Any Trace Of Trumpism From The DOJ

South Bend mayor and 2020 Democratic hopeful Pete Buttigieg said on Saturday that if he’s elected president, he will restore the Department of Justice to its pre-Trump state as an entity that defends the rule of law, not acts as an extension of the Oval Office.

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Buttigieg said that if he’s president, he will ensure that the Justice Department is completely separate from the president, particularly decisions related to criminal prosecution.

“The less this has to do with the president, the better,” he said. “I believe that the rule of law will catch up with this president. It doesn’t require the Oval Office putting any kind of thumb on the scale.”

Buttigieg said:

My Justice Department will be empowered to reach its own conclusions. Two things are true and clear: 1. Nobody is above the law; and 2. The prosecutorial process should have nothing to do with politics. The less this has to do with the president, the better. Right now we have a president who seems to think that the president can just dictate what the DOJ is going to do, call for political opponents to be jailed. I believe that the rule of law will catch up to this president. It doesn’t require the Oval Office putting any kind of thumb on the scale. I trust the DOJ to reach the right determinations, at least the DOJ that I would appoint and set up. And the less that has to do with directives coming out of the White House, the better. … I think we can maintain these two principles – that nobody is above the law and that prosecution decisions should have nothing to do with politics and should come from the DOJ itself, not from the Oval.

He was fired for a different reason but he had previously violated Hatch Act when he released fraudulent info that fbi opens investigation into Hillary. Obama should have appointed someone else but he was too obsessed with ‘bipartisanship’.

Never promise you will do anything. Promise that you will try to work as hard as possible to achieve what you say you want to do. Saying you promise to do anything can get you in a load of trouble.

I also can guarantee you that fixing anything that trump has done will not go away immediately or even close to soon after.

He should only promise that he will try his hardest to make sure our medical scientists have what they need to look for a cure.

Never ever promise results of anything. Just promise the best attempt at coming up with results.

Priest's from every religion to give a cleaning, a shaman from all religions that have them, sage and drumming cleansing, and a lot of strong bleach and clean water. While we are at it maybe we should get that lady in poltergeist to let us know that "this house is clean."

and 15 minutes after turdface is led off the inauguration podium in handcuffs (since he is no longer the president)...

reversing every executive order turdface issued

firing every person turdface appointed

re-funding every penny turdface took away

essentially UNDOING every thing turdface did.

After all, he WAS NOT LEGITIMATELY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, so nothing he did was legit. Hillary was elected by 3,000,000 more votes, and was wronged on a level not seen before in American politics (maybe Gore...?).

Then immediately start addressing the issue of the total obsolescence of the electoral court.

What, you say? That can't be done? Hey, WE NOW HAVE NO NORMS. Just do it, then fight them in court, allowing discovery to expose their sorry, crooked asses.

Kavanaugh and Gorsuch are both crooks, or turdface wouldn't have appointed them. We know Kavanaugh lied to Congress. That alone is enough for impeachment. I am sure if the research was done we would find that Gorsuch would have a similar skeleton in his closet.

That approach should be used against EVERY judicial appointment, from top to bottom, made by the midas turd.

THEN we need to address every treasonous republican (AND Barr) who propped up Putin's puppet. Treason begets prison, at the very minimum.

Yes, I have high expectations. I am a dreamer, like John Lennon.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
