This might the statement about Harris, from a Biden senior advisor, that Matthews referred to,

and that Symone Sanders denied.

But he's twisting what Harris said. She didn't criticize him for working on the Voting Rights Act. She was criticizing him for his previous views on busing and desegregation.

Let’s get real. @JoeBiden fought for civil rights for his entire life. He started his career as a public defender. To attack him because he worked to convince Repubs (yes, some with horrible views) to vote for the Voting Rights Act is outrageous and is exactly what Trump wants.
