(3,649 posts)Fair game, imo. 3 million people were deported under the Obama administration, and it's a huge issue within the Latino community.

(3,649 posts)The Trump administration is just "following the law" and using it as an excuse to lock families in cages. How many horrible events have occurred throughout human history where the government was just "following the law".

(12,555 posts)the law is the law, and that law could have been changed by a democratic House & Senate from 2009-2011

(36,074 posts)To defend Obama, however another candidate provokes it, is to not advance one's own relevant experience and plans for improving this country.
Biden should explain and promote Biden, not the "what about"s that others try to trip him up with.

(3,479 posts)about catching someone illegally crossing the border and then sending them back. The overwhelming majority of Obama's "deportations" came this way.

(82,383 posts)Is not carrying out the law. It is making up new restrictions not passed by any congress.
President Obama deported new arrivals with no right to come. He was extremely generous to long term undocumented residents. Like DACA. And DAPA was something he wanted to do but the courts said no.
Biden mentioned DACA but was not strong enough defending Obama from the ridiculous concept he was unkind to immigrants. It is absurdly unfair and those who bring it up deserve no respect. I expect it from Republicans.

(12,555 posts)Wanting to know if he told Obama he should stop them. Which would mean stop enforcing the LAW. but then again, DeBlasio probably doesnt care about following a law he doesnt like, as evidenced by his handling of funds in NYC.
