nobody spoke Spanish during the two nights of debate...did ya'll notice that?

I think I'll leave that here for your comments. I'd like to hear esp. from Hispanic DUers. How did you feel about the former debates where so many would be candidates tried out their Spanish?

I know I kinda cringed...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Did you mean adios or are you trying for some sort of pun?

is the correct word but I am happy they did not. Are they saying, “look at me, I can speak Spanish that means you like me, that means you will vote for me.” Yet, I think it is ok at an Hispanic forum or a mostly Hispanic neighborhood. Perhaps I am wrong. I agree with you, however, it is cringe worthy. Just read that the first debate was shown on Telemundo. That makes more sense. Maybe, someday someone will ask a question in Spanish and those who can will answer.

have questions asked in both languages with subtitles in English when someone speaks Spanish and vice-versa. Or how about making sure that foreign language subtitles are available for several languages and value more groups of Americans??
