"Why are you a better candidate (than Joe)?"

Instead of

"Why do you think voters should support your candidacy?

Of course she could have just answered it as if she had been asked the second one. Maybe she did.

But man it's is so relentless this mission the MSM has in stoking a tire fire. And it's still a year to go.

Enough already with this, "I don't support people who go negative" or "My preferred candidate is the only one staying positive " or "It's constructive criticism when my candidate does it and it's attacking when other candidates do the same thing."

Nobody is going to walk away without giving and receiving once we've had half a dozen more debates.

Every candidate. Every debate. Every election cycle. This is politics, folks. It's a contact sport.

not really. And you betcha when the field narrows, she's going to be attack, and attack.

which is mighty fine, because that's how you learn how to respond and show your strength.

So "the high ground" works great for her now, but she will be attacked, and she will respond forcefully because that's how this all works.

Thu Aug 1, 2019, 09:11 PM
Aug 2019

1) She wasn’t asked why she thought she was the best choice. She was asked to compare herself to Biden. I didn’t get the point of the question. There are a lot of candidates.

2) I think she did a pretty good job of offering the rationale for her candidacy. Obviously I support her, but I like candidates in general who tell me their ideas/policies/plans without prefacing it with “I am the best because ...” I assume they believe they are the best and I assume I am smart enough to figure out if I agree.

Just my 2 cents
