Former Vice President Joe Biden leads the crowded Democratic field by 6 points in an EconomistYouGov poll released on Wednesday.
The poll found Biden as the first choice for 22 percent of those surveyed, followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) with 16 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) with 13 percent. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D) rounded out the top five, both with 8 percent, according to the poll.
The survey, conducted Aug. 3-6 among 1,500 U.S. adult citizens, found Biden continuing to maintain stronger numbers among African American voters than the general primary electorate, with 33 percent identifying him as their first choice, followed by 13 percent for Warren and 10 percent for Sanders.
The poll has an overall margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points and 2.9 percentage points among registered voters.

(2,701 posts)On page 103, it clearly shows that Biden was at 26%, Warren was at 16% and Sanders was at 12% - (26 minus 16 equals 10, not 30).
Come on...

(9,657 posts)Our first national poll taken after Biden announced his bid has him well ahead of the Democratic field with 39% to his closest rival at 14% for Sanders. This represents a double-digit Biden bounce from our last poll. Other polls also indicate Biden's up since his announcement.

(2,701 posts)There are separate DU threads for each poll that comes out. When making comparisons between June numbers and August numbers, it is obvious that the same pollsters must be used. But we all know that, already. Don't we.
