based on verified factual data. The author you're objecting to, btw, is David von Drehle. Whatever you object to, it's extremely reasonable to point out that Sanders couldn't possibly achieve what he's pretending to call for within one decade.

I'll point out my opinion that Sanders knows he cannot and that he will never have to come through. Von Drehle is impatient and disrespectful in pointing that out, true, but he's also reasonable in wondering how, when Sanders failed completely to fulfill his very responsible call for a carbon tax, which had strong Democratic and also bipartisan support, anyone could imagine he could accomplish the impossible instead. Trump imagined he could do whatever he wanted as president, but he was wrong and his literally daily failures should have been a big lesson to Sanders and to his loyal followers. Wishes are not horses.

So read opinion pieces with caution, understanding the opinion pages are used to convey both deception and important insights from people very worth reading, and sometimes both. "Bernie Sanders is a refugee from the 1930s" is also an opinion piece. Still waiting for the socialist revolution to happen so he can run and lead his people.
