Earth artist creates 2-acre likeness of Beto O'Rourke outside ABIA
https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/earth-artist-creates-2-acre-likeness-of-beto-orourke-outside-abia
AUSTIN, Texas A Kansas artist renowned for his crop art around the world is making a political statement in Austin with his latest piece.
Stan Herd, who works with soil, grass, and rock, worked two weeks to create a portrait of presidential candidate Beto ORourke. Herd states he wanted to show his support for the former U.S. Senate candidate through an artistic medium.
I believe Beto has a unique voice. I think he has a unique populist message, Herd says. I decided to come down and add my voice to that.

I'm guessing nobody said "I really likes Warren's plan to break up big tech companies, but that cornfield portrait changed my mind."

How's that not relevant? SXSW has a lot of young people who attend. If they lookup who that was on their phone they may become more engaged.

(13,194 posts)9. I didn't get how it's not relevant either.
On a site where we celebrate people hanging home-made anti-Trump banners on overpasses for a couple hours so rush-hour drivers can see it on their way across town, I would certainly think a big-ass "banner" visible from the sky for two weeks would most certainly be relevant.
