Ukraine to Review Criminal Case of Firm Linked to Biden's Son
KIEV, Ukraine Ukraines top prosecutor said on Friday that he would review several important cases previously handled by his predecessors, including a criminal case involving a natural gas company that employed a son of former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.
The development came amid an impeachment inquiry against President Trump connected to a request he made to the Ukrainian president asking him to investigate Mr. Biden, a Democratic presidential candidate, and his sons work in Ukraine.
It raises questions of whether Ukraine was, in effect, bowing to public and private pressure from the president of the United States, on which it has depended on for millions of dollars in aid.
The prosecutor general, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, said he intended to review 15 cases in all, and mentioned several high-profile investigations of wealthy Ukrainians, including the owner of the natural gas company, Burisma Holdings, where Mr. Bidens son Hunter served on the board until earlier this year.
He denied being pressured over the Bidens or the Burisma case.

(11,885 posts)1. Trumps department of trump justice
After installing corrupt AG Bill Barr where trump is the judge, jury, and executioner is now abusing his power further to force trump justice onto other foreign countries, Or trump will use our money and his office to corrupt others to criminalize his opponents and opposition for his benefit, and political gain has Putin written all over it. This will only escalate allowing Putin/trump to weaken opposition by any criminal acts needed as we've seen by Putin. The GOP is allowing mobsters to take over, and are completely complicit with Putin and trump. Trump claims of going after corruption while he's corrupting other countries is a joke , and it's not funny. We're turning into put ins Russia, and the GOP are helping it happen now.
