1. If Biden comes in 3rd in NH, as I expect he will, I think he'll likely withdraw from the race.

Especially after he loses Iowa in, perhaps, 4th place.

Bernie/Elizabeth or Elizabeth/Bernie 2020!!
Either way, they're stronger together!!
Welcome to the revolution!!!

Bernie is in 3rd place in both Iowa and NH in the two polls I posted.
He won't drop out, but I don't see him on a ticket.

3. zero chance of that, as he will still (just not as sure a thing) clean up in South Carolina

although if he does poorly in all of IA, NH, AND NV, and Warren is the clear winner in all 3, then the voters in SC may start to really shift to her

IF he doesn't win SC and Warren wins the first 3 primaries before it, he, at that point, IS in real trouble, and if he is not a close 2nd in his potential SC loss, or is even 3rd or worse, THEN he is done, Super Tuesday will not save him at that point.

We are still a long ways away from all that, and the 'zero chance to win but all the chance to cause chaos and trouble' Sanders is still in the mix in terms of overall delta in the race.

A word of caution too for Biden people thinking that a tonne of Bernie voters will shift to Biden if he (Sanders) drops out. Those polls showing this were LONG ago, when Bernie was far higher and a LOT of his support (and Biden's too) was based off name recognition only for both of them. Bernie voters, the ones who still support him, will NOT migrate in large numbers at all to Biden IF Warren is the other main choice, and especially IF Warren is the clear front runner when (more like if) Bernie pulls the plug, which I do not see happening for a LONG time.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

4. At this stage, Biden is expected to win SC by a substantial margin.

If Biden is regarded to have underperformed there, he won't be riding a positive wave into Super Tuesday. HRC in 2016 over performed by a substantial margin, and carried that into those contests.
