Pittsburgh will host leading Democratic presidential candidates for education forum
Local teachers, parents and students will have an opportunity next week to grill at least seven Democratic presidential candidates on education issues during a forum in Pittsburgh.
The Public Education Forum 2020 will be held Dec. 14 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown.
Candidates confirmed to appear include Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer, according to Suzanne South of One Pennsylvania. Two other candidates may also attend.
The day-long event will be moderated by MSNBC journalists. Questions will come from representatives from an 11-member coalition that includes the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers and One Pennsylvania.
Candidates will appear one by one to answer questions.
