Whatever you think of his chances, supporting Yang is tremendously uplifting.

Going to local meetups and events I can tell you this isn't just an online thing.

During the event Yang asked for a show of hands, asking how many people had never been involved in politics before. Almost every hand went up.

are registered to vote or will be bothered to vote if they were registered.

Even his campaign staffer realize that Yang did not look good in the video from yesterday.

As much as Beto was chided for posting his dental appointment on social media, that looks even more ridiculous.

Yeah the optics were bad on that. Glad it's meaningless.

I think Beto was chided more for his 'hell yes we're coming to take your guns' comment than for any of his silly social media things. Or at least he was here in Texas.

and that was several months before his comments about gun control.

I agree that the video is meaningless since Yang doesn't have any chance of winning the nomination, but if only a snapshot was used the appearance that the person was subservient--or worse, that there was a sexual aspect to it would be greatly magnified by the GOP. It definitely was a bad move and I'm surprised that Yang did not recognize the optics of the situation.

Beto's gun-grabbing rhetoric would have been far more damaging in the GE had he been the nominee.

And more importantly, I would never have popped into one of your positive threads about Biden and done something like what you just did. So thanks for your Illuminating contribution. Seriously.

I have posted several positive threads about Yang, including his recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel. The following list is in chronological order:

I've also posted replies about Biden that weren't flattering. As a matter of fact, one of the hides currently showing in my profile was an OP about allegations made about Hunter Biden.

I started out supporting O'Rourke and I've even posted less than flattering threads about him. I've remained undecided since he withdrew from the race. I still haven't determined who will receive my vote on Super Tuesday.

I guess that people only see what they want to see though.

While Yang wasn't my preferred candidate, I was intrigued by his UBI proposal even before the Democratic Primaries began. I thought it was fairer than the proposals for free tuition and student loan debt forgiveness because everyone receives a benefit while the other proposals chose selected groups as winners while others didn't receive any benefits If Yang had experience in government and/or foreign policy I would have been more inclined to support him. His lack of experience and his seeming willingness to trust others could put him in a position where others would take advantage of him.

On the positive side, it is apparent that Yang is intelligent and he has interesting ideas. His naivete (just like in the video) is easily corrected and it would help if he takes on some other role in government either at a statewide level or a post in a Democratic administration. I don't think that he has done anything in this campaign that would have an adverse effect if he wants to continue pursuing a political career, but going for the top prize in politics without some prior experience is a red flag for a lot of voters. We've had a good "bad example" what the lack of political acumen looks like for the past three years so I'm wary of repeating that experience again. If Yang does receive the nomination, then I would gladly vote for him over Trump seven days a week.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
